Carl Fisher
Native of Greensburg, Indiana, Carl Fisher worked to establish the automobile as the dominant form of transportation in the United States. His efforts led to improved highways, headlights for night driving and auto racing. He was a co-founder of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was instrumental in the development of the track.
