Indiana’s Cataract Falls

A visit to Cataract Falls will reveal two waterfalls a half mile apart. The Falls are, by volume, the largest waterfalls in Indiana. The Upper Falls is at the Cataract Falls State Recreation Area. This Falls drops about thirty feet. Visitors will find an observation deck to observe them located adjacent to a picnic area. Podcast – A Thumbnail History of Ohio County, Indiana

Ohio County had its beginnings with the formation of Dearborn County by Indiana Territorial Governor William Henry Harrison in 1803, thirteen years before Indiana became a state. The new county included territory now comprising Ripley, Franklin and Ohio Counties. Harrison made Lawrenceburg the county seat at that time. In 1811 Harrison separated Franklin County from Dearborn County. The Indiana General Assembly detached and created Ripley County in 1818. Wizards of the Golden Star Series

The blood thirsty creature Gwaum has the Six Nations under assault. Gwaums first meal after his creation by the evil wizard Darnay was that of human flesh. The meal created a lust for that delicacy and he wrecked the kingdom of Napoli to sate his hunger. The kingdom destroyed, he turned his attention to the remainder of Island World. The order of the Wizards of the Golden Star are Island World’s only hope to stop Gwaum and destroy him. It would strain the wizards to the limit of their powers in their quest to stop the creature.
